Slots machine odds – can they be calculated?

In the good old days, calculating the odds of a slot machine was not rocket science. However, the introduction of the random generator meant that trying to determine the odds of a slot machine became a thing of the best. Despite this fact, it is not surprising to find guides on how to calculate slot machine odds.
In the early days, determining the winning combination was not difficult because symbols had the same chance of appearing on a pay line. To determine the odds, you simply had to count the number of symbols on the reels and do your maths from there. As an example, if you had a slot machine having four reels and on each reel there are ten symbols. This would make 1000(10×10×10) possible outcomes. From the computation, it means that the chance of hitting a jackpot would be one is a thousand.

The modern slot machine is a far cry from the earlier version and you should never buy into schemes that make you believe that you can determine with certainty the possibility of hitting a jackpot. The random number generator is always in motion and in most land based casino the odds of hitting a jackpot is a million to one! Simply put, winning a slot jackpot is just a luck you have to be at the right place at the right time and hope that you hit the winning combinations.

At present

Today you can find many different types of slot machines, each applying to different tastes and players. Always remember that information is vital in increasing your chances of a Jackpot.
